OK, for simplicity's sake, we will call this blog post: Tiago's pre-k graduation. Although, this wasn't a ceremony about celebrating his many scholarly accomplishments, or giving him keys to a new car. It was about acknowledging an important developmental milestone. Now 5 years old, he will be finishing up at TWY pre-k, and enrolling in the local public school. And he is READY!
At preschool, he was allowed the opportunity to play, imagine, navigate social conflicts, learn the importance of self-advocacy, and write his name "like a kindergartener." The ceremony was a sweet performance, by the graduates, for the parents. They sang a lovely song that sang, "If you make a friend, everywhere you go, there will be la-la-la-la-love." Yeah. It was that kind of a graduation. ADORABLE!
We loved that his "Diploma" stated that he had accomplished "all the necessary preschool skills of smiling, laughing, playing and loving."
We are grateful to the preschool for allowing our son the opportunities of having fun and being a kid!
Tiago and his buddies are TOO COOL FOR PRESCHOOL!
We are so grateful for the loving, creative, fun learning environment that Tiago was a part of at TWY preschool. We will miss his teachers but, we are very excited about starting kindergarten!
